Episode 10 is where film and soul meet.

The first part of the show is about the Campbell River film industry and how the North Island College program is preparing the region. The second part of the episode is an interview with singer Dawn Pemberton.

Episode 9 – Ballet Victoria

Well the show is here! Dracula as performed by Ballet Victoria.

The show is on air on air this week on ShawTV Channel 4 on the North Island. No worries though if you are not a Shaw subscriber or are not in the region, I have posted the show here for your viewing!

Episode 8 – New Year Take Out 2018

Episode 8 New Year Take Out 2018

Well… 2018 is well underway, no turning back. But how do we make it through the busy day? Take out of course! In the Comox Valley, there are some daily rituals and they have to be followed in order, or do they? The show is on air this week on ShawTV Channel 4 in the North Vancouver Island region. It can also be found right here!

I made sure that I was in ‘character’ by having a just woke up look with my hair. Seriously, we make every effort to get the realism happening here at ‘the crossroads’! So take out something for yourself! 😉

Green Screens and behind the scenes

Bunny is my little dog. She is seen here on the green screen cyclorama. Camera testing with animals is a fun yet trying experience. After getting Bunny to be comfortable on the cloth, we found out that she is so white on her chest that she was actually reflecting the green! This makes it almost impossible to do a proper composite background later in post production.

You see, the green will bleed the background video or image onto her body. Not the desired effect. So, turns out we will likely have to go with a blue screen to do any shots with her. Good thing our new screen will be blue!

We hope to share our video with Bunny in another acting video. Real soon I hope!

A look back

It is hard to believe that my previous TV show was so long ago and in a far away land. Voice overs and writing for new shows, documentaries, corporate videos and aviation training media kept me pretty busy since then. I knew I’d be back.

If you are not familiar with my first talk show, check out the imdb listing for both seasons. When I look back, it’s pretty inpressive what I did pretty much single handedly.

Let’s see how long the new show will run! The premiere airs very soon!
